You'll be introduced to your students a few days before the start of the program.

We know you may want to reach out earlier so you can hit the ground running, but we won't have the final list of matches until close to the start. Don't worry: we've built the ramp-up time into the program.

Getting to Know Your Group

When we introduce you to your student team, we'll send over their application so you can learn about their background. You can expect to know the following prior to the start of the program:

That's not a whole lot of information! Expect to get to know your group in the first meeting (we have a suggested agenda for that call in the next section).

Student Commitment

All students in the program have committed to spending at least 10 hours a week on their projects, including meetings with you. With three students, and 4 weeks, this means the project you lead will have a minimum of 120 person-hours of work.

(Many students have committed 20 or 30 hours a week, in which case we'll try to keep your group to students who can spend a similar amount of time.)

While project quality would be improved if students could spend more time, many students have to work part-time jobs to pay for school or support their families. We ask that you be respectful of the amount of time students committed to when you review progress.
