Are you a college CS student looking for an summer experiences by building a project with a veteran mentor from the tech industry? Looking to add an impressive project to your own portfolio and resume? Want to learn what it is like in a particular discipline within CS? CodeDay and MinT (Mentors in Tech) is offering college CS student who have taken at least data structures to spend 6 weeks during the summer being in a team of 3 working on a significant project in the tech mentor’s area of expertise.
You and 2 other students will be teamed with an industry mentor on a project in a particular area of CS to work on a project that the mentor has proposed.
You are expected spend ~10 hours per week on the project and this experience. In addition to working on the end to end delivery and then presentation of the project, you will also gain valuable insight to a future career in tech:
Student applicants must have completed college level data structures course and be ready to learn new IDEs, APIs, and other tools and CS concepts that will help them successfully complete their project.
The student application and interview process will open in May and program will start in July 6 and end week of August 10.
This program is a collaboration between CodeDay a nonprofit dedicated to advancing CS Education and have served 25,000+ students, and Mentor in Tech (MinT) a social good tech mentor organization started by Kevin Wang, the founder of the TEALS program that has taught 75,000+ students CS through thousands of industry volunteers.
