Removed from CodeLabs - Not Self-Sufficient

Hi [student],

I'm reaching out with some sad news. Unfortunately, after speaking with your mentor, we don't feel that CodeLabs is a good fit for you at this moment in your career.

We designed CodeLabs to be similar to a traditional internship, where students work independently under the supervision of a mentor to make progress on a project which stretches the limits of their knowledge. After speaking with your mentor, we think you're still at a point in your education where you need direct instruction, and aren't ready to make progress on your own.

With a heavy heart, we've decided to un-enroll you from the CodeLabs program for this year. This decision is final for the time-being, but please know it's not the outcome we wanted, and we only came to this decision after taking into account a number of factors. We'd be happy to have you re-apply at some point in the future.

Removed from CodeLabs - Not Meeting Commitments

Hi [student],

I'm reaching out with some sad news. Unfortunately, after speaking with your mentor, we don't feel that you have the time to participate in CodeLabs this year.

We designed CodeLabs to be similar to a traditional internship, where students work independently to make progress on a project which has real-world implications. That requires a lot of time for independent progress, as well as attending meetings, 1-1s, etc. We listed these commitments before you confirmed your participation in the program, however you haven't been meeting those commitments.

With a heavy heart, we've decided to un-enroll you from the CodeLabs program for this year. This decision is final for the time-being, but please know it's not the outcome we wanted, and we only came to this decision after taking into account a number of factors.
