💖 About CodeDay Labs
CodeDay Labs is the 100% online tech internship for anyone.
Tens of thousands of talented CS students attend affordable local colleges rely on internships to gain real-world knowledge and demonstrate the skills they need to get a job. But most companies focus their hiring on brand-name schools.
We help these students get real-world opportunities by pairing them with an industry mentor to work on a real-world, open-source Computer Science project.

About the Role
A lot of CodeDay Labs is based on projects, but we also host a bootcamp week where students learn about technology, and daily workshops during the program. As the training manager, you'll help develop these resources, and be a public face for the program!
Requirements
- Good organizational skills (or otherwise happy to edit things in a spreadsheet).
- Comfortable talking in front of groups and writing emails.
- Strong technical foundation in at least a few popular technologies.
- College students or responsible high school students are probably a good fit.
What You'll Do
- Work with the Program Managers (Mingjie/Alex) and Tyler to develop a list of tutorials or sample projects students will need to create during the Bootcamp week to get up to speed with the technologies their teams will use. We'll develop these for a few common technologies, like React, Django, Git, etc. You don't need to be an expert in everything, we'll figure it out together.
- Recruit workshop speakers based on the interests and career goals of our admitted students. (These speakers usually come from: previous years' Labs speakers, previous CodeDay speakers, sponsors, CodeDay volunteer's professional networks, and identifying relevant folks online.)
- Getting everyone on the schedule, and making sure speakers are prepared to join the call.
- Introduce speakers during the workshops. It's ok if you can't make every single one, but hopefully you can make most of them.
Compensation
You'll be paid as an employee at $20/hr. (Or you can volunteer if you'd like to help us admit more students.)
